The yoga meditation I’m doing these days are doing good for me. Quieting my mind, letting everything go.
I started meditating to open my mind to the changes I had to do in my life. An extreme urge to make great changes in my life was weighing on me.
Daily mediation has been one of the most important changes in my life so far. It doesn’t have to be for long. I can take 5 minutes, practically anywhere, focus on my breath and quiet my mind.
My focus on chance has altered a bit since I started this journey two weeks ago. I realise that the need for chance isn’t so much about change it self as it is about what the change is supposed to lead to.
A new focus in my meditation is taking form. Where do I want to be mentally? Who do I want to be? These are the questions I need to answer to myself first. I cannot start to change before I know who I want to become.
Every day I make sure to spend at least 5 minutes on my meditation. It is wonderful what 5 short minutes can do to the state of mind.
Every week I make sure to have at least one, preferably more, longer session meditating. In these longer sessions I like to include a bit more physical yoga practice as well.
This seems to be working well for me so far, but I’m prepared to do adjustments along the way.
Do you meditate? Why?
